Soil and Farming
Stony Clay on Limestone on parcels with a southwesterly exposure. The farming philosophy is based upon the use of natural products, no herbicides or pesticides and prudent limited intervention.

Grape Varieties
Grenache Noir and Syrah (80/20). The average age of the vines was 20 years at harvest.

Harvest
Hand harvested and sorted on a table de tri before destemming and also complete soaking of the cap every other day (delestage). The wine was then aged for 10 months before bottling in August 2007.


Tasting notes
Bright colour, with hints of sparkling garnets, this wine has a powerful nose of ripe dark fruits, blackberry, cherry and blackcurrant. It is well balanced with soft tannins and refreshing acidity. It is ready to drink now and will continue to evolve for 2-3 years.

Silver medal at Concourse Generale Agricole, Paris 2008.

Serving Notes
It is best served between 15-17° C. It is a good partner with a slow cooked shoulder of lamb, a steaks or game.
