A distinctive fruitiness hilites this Fig and Red Wine aperitif…. It’s a recipe introduced by the Greeks in Marseille centuries ago. The marriage of Vanilla, Angelica and Fig gives this aperitif extraordinary fruitiness, with Orange, Red Mandarin and Wormwood delivering freshness.
A lengthy maceration of plants, spices and fruits in red wine is necessary to reveal all the flavors of Provence in Figoun.
This Vermouth process comes from the ancient Provençal liquorist, utilizing 90% red wine of Languedoc and 10% fruits and spices in the maceration.
Figoun needs a month of maceration in order to blend the aromas. The plants and citrus open on the palate, followed by fig and vanilla. Aperitif with red wine 750 ml. 18 % alc/vol.
